:About this project In this project, I acted as a Data Analyst for the Taste of the World Cafe; a restaurant that has diverse offerings and serves generous portions. It debuted with a new menu at the start of the year. I have been asked to dig into the customer data to see which menu items are doing well/not well and what the top customers seem to like best. This analysis is for the first quarter of 2023 and was done using MySQL as the main tool for exploring and analyzing the data. The data is obtained from the restaurant_db where we could find 2 tables menu_items and order_details. The data is obtained from the restaurant_db where we could find 2 tables menu_items and order_details. :Insights The menu contains 32 different dishes that are under 4 categories mainly American, Asian, Mexican, and Italian cuisines. The price range of the dishes is somewhere from $5 to $19.95. There were 5,370 orders placed that contained 12,234 items within the time frame. 23 orders were placed containing more than 12 items, and these were also the top grossing transactions. The greatest total bill amounted to $192.15. The top grossing cuisine is Italian at $49,462.70, while the bottom is American with $28,237.75. The top grossing item is the Korean Beef Bowl with 588 orders and total gross revenue of $10,554.
